Jessie Haynes Alto, Artistic Director
Our artistic director, JessieMarie Haynes, is originally from Long Island, NY, where her passion for music was born. As a teen, Jessie would often save her allowance for trips into Manhattan to catch the latest Broadway musical. At 16, Jessie toured Europe with the Sound of America Honor Choir and Band, serenading audiences from Austria to Italy. After studying music & theatre at Hofstra & Winthrop Universities, Jessie immersed herself in the professional music scene. From performing a’cappella to musical theatre, to classical flute, and directing, Jessie has truly done it all. Her passion for music translates to the classroom, where she is a proud public school music teacher. There, she founded and serves as the Drama Club director. Her creative methods of directing mixed with her raspy, sultry-rock vocals make her one-of-a kind.
Carrie Taft Soprano, Treasurer
Our soprano, Carrie Taft, has been performing a’cappella for the past 15 years. Classically trained in voice at Indiana University, she has enjoyed performing all styles of music over her career. Carrie’s soaring vocals are featured in a wide-range of songs - from Sara Bareilles to Bruno Mars!
Megan King Alto, Business Manager
Megan King has been involved with the a'cappella scene her entire life. Starting in high school and continuing her musical education at Hofstra University in New York, Megan was instrumental in the success of the school's first a'cappella group, Sigma'cappella. It was here where her love for arranging began - something she has continued through a few professional adult groups, including Epiphony! Make sure to take a listen to songs like Chains, I Choose You, and Separate Ways - all MK originals!
Amanda Cipolletti, Soprano
Amanda Cipoletti has been singing since before she could talk - from school & church performances and local theater, to working with local recording studios on jingles, demos, and even producing a country album. She has taught elementary general music for 16 years and is currently teaching middle school chorus and drama where she teaches the next generation of performers. In addition, she is also Co-Director of Carolina Kids Voices summer camps.
Kimm Santa, Alto
Kimm Santa has been onstage practically all her life, and says it’s her favorite place to be! Born in Indiana, (and a graduate of Indiana University) her love of musical theatre has taken her to Michigan, New York, Georgia, South Carolina and eventually North Carolina, where she has entertained theatre audiences for 35 years. A cappella singing was a new venture for her about 10 years ago and she truly loves the dedication and challenges it offers. Her vocal range is such that she can handle all parts, even the fun bass line (alto 2). Married to Brian for 33 years (!), Kimm is a retired dental hygienist that somehow became a costumer! Life is good!
Bradley Blumer, Vocal Percussionist
The one holding it all together, Bradley is our insanely talented vocal percussionist. An accountant by day and beatboxer by night, he has performed for years in a variety of groups, and loves everything about a'cappella.
