Take 6 longtime friends plus a fervent love for a'cappella music, and you have Epiphony A'cappella! Born in Charlotte, NC, Epiphony serenades audiences up and down the East coast with their musical flavor that spans the decades. Led by Artistic Director Jessie Haynes and award-winning Musical Director Megan King, the group's signature sound is filled out by the insane beats of vocal percussionist, Bradley Blumer. Whether crooning a Motown tune, or passionately relaying a message of equality with more progressive arrangements, this a'cappella sextet is sure to wow any crowd. Epiphony has shared the stage with a'cappella sensations Rockapella and the Clefhangers, and recently took home ‘Audience Favorite’ and 'Best Solo' at the 2022 Harmony Sweepstakes in D.C. This dynamic group of singers range from 25 to 62, so they truly offer “something for everyone.” Seeking entertainment for your next event? Look no further than Epiphony!

JESSIE HAYNES

Our Artistic Director, JessieMarie Haynes, is originally from Long Island, NY, where her passion for music was born. As a teen, Jessie would often save her allowance for trips into Manhattan to catch the latest Broadway musical. At 16, Jessie toured Europe with the Sound of America Honor Choir and Band, serenading audiences from Austria to Italy.  After studying music & theatre at Hofstra & Winthrop Universities, Jessie immersed herself in the professional music scene. From performing a’cappella to musical theatre, to classical flute, and directing, Jessie has truly done it all. Her passion for music translates to the classroom, where she is a proud public school music teacher. There, she founded and serves as the Drama Club director. Her creative methods of directing mixed with her raspy, sultry-rock vocals make her one-of-a kind.

Megan King

Megan King has been involved with the a'cappella scene her entire life. Starting in high school and continuing her musical education at Hofstra University in New York, Megan was instrumental in the success of the school's first a'cappella group, Sigma'cappella. It was here where her love for arranging began - something she has continued through a few professional adult groups, including Epiphony!  Make sure to take a listen to songs like Chains, Separate Ways, and the 2020 Harmony Sweepstakes winner for Best Arrangement, Hands Dirty - they are all MK originals!

Carrie taft

Our soprano, Carrie Taft, has been performing a’cappella for the past 15 years. Classically trained in voice at Indiana University, she has enjoyed performing all styles of music over her career. When she isn't singing with Epiphony, you can find Carrie teaching high school math, spending time with her family, or traveling both locally and abroad.  Carrie’s soaring vocals are featured in a wide-range of songs - from Sara Bareilles to Aretha Franklin to Britney Spears!

amanda cipolletti

Amanda Cipoletti has been singing since before she could talk - from school & church performances and local theater, to working with local recording studios on jingles, demos, and even producing a country album.  She has taught elementary general music for 18 years and is currently teaching middle school chorus and drama where she teaches the next generation of performers. In addition, she is also Co-Director of Carolina Kids Voices summer camps.  Her smooth, southern twang can be heard on Witchy Woman, Best of my Love, and Somethin' Bad.

Kimm santa

Kimm Santa has been onstage practically all her life, and says it’s her favorite place to be! Born in Indiana (and a graduate of Indiana University), her love of musical theatre has taken her to Michigan, New York, Georgia, South Carolina and eventually North Carolina, where she has entertained theatre audiences for 35 years. A'cappella singing was a new venture for her about 12 years ago and she truly loves the dedication and challenges it offers. Her vocal range is such that she can handle all parts, but watch out for her incredible Alto 2 chops, spotlighted in songs like Sweet Dreams and House of the Rising Son. Married to Brian for 35 years (!), Kimm is a retired dental hygienist that somehow became a costumer! Life is good!

bradley blumer

The one who truly keeps us all together, Bradley is our insanely talented vocal percussionist. A Restaurant Manager by day and beatboxer by night, he has performed for years in a variety of groups, and loves everything about a'cappella.  He is also our recording engineer and has recently produced our first EP to be released in Summer 2022. Make sure to see us live and see Bradley absolutely steal the show with his unique blend of traditional vocal percussion-meets-EDM.
